Hold Still
This month’s Sinful Sunday prompt is Minimalist.
*Blog update – I tried very hard not to say what I wanted you to experience when you looked at this photo – so I was utterly delighted by all your comments – thank you – even more so when this was chosen as one of Molly’s Top Five*
Nice one, Tabitha. The light fixture is perfect mood creator with the peek of face.
Ooooo, this is so provocative! Very well done! ~C
For what are we holding still? π
This is a wonderful image, especially considering the light type and source. Well done!
I love the glimmer in your eye!!
I love the peep of the face and the strip lighting dominating the image x
I don’t know why, it must be the intensity of the light, but this image gives me a clinical feeling. Love it x
I love the way the light is catching your hair and that single eye with its intense stare which makes me feel like I am the one being observed

I really love this!

There is a tension in this image, a feeling of apprehension, of anticipation.
I love the perk of your eye and how the light is capturing the colour of your hair.
Great image. It feels like a still from a movie.
Thank you – I was trying really hard to ‘create a scene’ so I@m really pleased with your comment x x
I audibly gasped when I saw this – it looks like an image from a sci fi / horror show, so I love it (the words “hold still” with a face floating above are visceral)! This would make an amazing flash fiction prompt.
Thank you so much Jo – that was exactly what I was going for π x x x
Lovely shot – the light hue really shows of your hair beautifully x
Beautiful picture!
I like what the angle of the face says about the angle of the body. “Hold still” indeed.
It’s an instant caught, full of tension and potential.
Gorgeous and mysterious, this is one of my favorites from the week. Really fantastic image, a definite story prompt here.
Thank you Maria x x
